Setting up a new rail route along the old Silk corridor between China and East Europe
Nigel was appointed by Evraz, The Evraz group is 70% owned by the NaftaSib group, which also owns UNICOR Finance, a private, independent processing company. They are alos shareholders of “EvrazInvest” (ZAO “Evraz Invesments”) which is a Russian company founded in 2006 by the “EurAsEC Business Council” and a number of Russian private companies with a view to pursue various investment projects in the EurAsian Economic Community (EurAsEC).
His role was to put together a logistics team specializing in new inter continental rail corridor logistics.
Nigel appointed and managed a team comprising; Drewry Consulting [Container and Shipping experts], PRB & Associates [Econometric advisors], Jeuro [Russian trans-continental rail specialists], Everdsheds [International Lawyers], D Bryce [Rail Consultant], D Charlesworth [Rail marketing consultant] and Keswick Enterprises [Retail logistics specialists]
Mobile Banking and E Cash
Nigel was appointed to research identify and select a number of global suppliers of e-cash and mobile banking suppliers and operators to assist a major Russian Bank launch a new m- banking/ e-cash systems throughout the Russian Federation. This exercise required extensive travel and meetings with a number of selected global suppliers, culminating in the setting up a number of joint venture projects with American, British, Asian and African specialists. This project is on-going.
New Mega Yacht Marina, Croatia
Nigel was appointed to advise on the concept design for a new mega yacht marina and supporting leisure complexes comprising Hotels, apartments, restaurants and retail outlets.
Nigel’s previous marina experience was useful in advising on the concept designs, and his commercial knowledge of procuring major construction projects enabled him to lead the best procurement strategy to best achieve cost certainty with minimal risk to the employer.
Setting up a National Car Rescue Business in the Russian Federation
Nigel was appointed by Unicor, a Russian Bank, to research and select a partner who specialised in the car and truck rescue business. Following managing that research project Nigel put together a team of professional advisors comprising Lawyers, Auto logistic advisors and specialists in the marketing and advertising industry to work with him in the selection of a partner.
Following that selection, Nigel and his team set up the structural framework for the new joint venture company, selected and hired a global marketing, media and advertising firm and guided the process of forming the new company which is currently being launched.
All the other works are covered by the activities of NNP Inc or Martindale McAndrew.
